Frequently Ask Questions (FAQ)
What are your opening hours?
Paint Recyclers is generally an open by arrangement business, operating without a shop front. By arrangement you can meet with us at night or during the day (should we be available).
Can you deliver my order to my address in the Perth metro region?
Yes, we can arrange a courier to collect the paint and deliver the paint out to you. The price will vary depending on your locality within WA, but will be a minimum of $10 for the order.
I need a specific colour to be prepared, can you do it?
As we mix the paint specifically for your order, we can generally match your requested colour. However from time to time due to limitations with our stock we may not be able to match the colour exactly. We therefore only guarantee that the match will be approximately, and swatches of the colour will be made available at the time of collection to verify the colour prepared paint.
I've placed an order but I need to change/cancel it, what can I do?
Please try and give us as much notice as possible on cancellations, just like you do not wish to waste your time waiting, we do not like to waste our time either.
Can I give my left over paint to you for recycling?
Absolutely, we will accept any house hold paints, as long as there is atleast 25% of usable paint in the tin. Please be aware that the paint will need to be left at our depot, with a copy of your contact details should the paint be unsuitable for recycling.
Apart from decreased costs, how is recycled paint different to new paint?
Paint Recyclers recycled paint is surplus / leftover paint. We have multiple suppliers, commercial painters or the general public, who have finished painting and otherwise would be storing the tins (and never using the paint again) or paying to dispose of it at their local landfill. Paint Recyclers takes this paint, filters and processes it several times, repackaging where necessary and then it is ready for re-sale. Our customers are receiving high quality paint, tinted to their colour specification and finish, often saving up to (or over) half of the retail price!
Does it apply to the wall in the same way as new paint?
There is no difference in the final recycled product from new stock, aside from (sometimes) being in a re-used paint tin.
It is the type, finish, shade and quantity the customer requested,
At Paint Recyclers, we proud to offer personalised service for each and every customer, from their initial enquiry, to their order, to the actual application of the paint in their home.
Does it look or feel different once it's on the wall?
Recycled paint is applied the very same way as brand new paint, whether it be to your wall, ceiling, flooring or other surface. It is the same shade, and exact finish and texture.
Could you briefly outline the environmental benefits of recycled paint?
We have collected thousands of litres of surplus paint, from our suppliers and the general public, in just a small portion of Perth.
Our business goal is to re-use all of this paint that we can (educating how to dispose of the small percentage of this paint safely when it is not re-useable).
Paint Recyclers aims to reduce the amount of paint "dumped" into the environment, burnt off, or going into landfill. Why should a good product be needlessly disposed into the Australian environment when we can re-use it?
We believe it is more environmentally-friendly to offer a recycled product (instead of brand new) wherever possible. The incentive of saving so much money helps our customers with budgets too!
Do you know if recycled paint is readily available across Australia?
As far as I am aware, we are the first business of this kind in Australia.
